Sorry for those of you that have already seen this eight times or so. But I must spread my ranty-ness.

A white man yells to a black man. "Hey colored boy! You're blockin my view."
The black man turned around and stood up. He then said:
"When I was born I was black,"
"When I grew up I was black,"
"When I'm sick I'm black,"
"When I go in the sun I'm black,"
"When I'm cold I'm black,"
"When I die I'll be black"
"But you sir..."
"When you're born you're pink,"
"When you grow up you're White,"
"When you're sick, you're Green,"
"When you go in the sun you turn Red,"
"When you're cold you turn Blue,"
"And when you die you turn Purple."
"And you have the nerve to call me colored?"
The black man then sat back down and the white man walked away...


That having been said, I beg you all to remember that the problem of racism is more than just black and white.

It's easy to point at slavery in the American South (and North too remember) and say: that was wrong, bad white people. But today, bigger than just the KKK I can point to where in LA ALONE, black gangs, mexican gangs, oriental gangs AND skin heads all clash in pointless violence. White poeople (Europeans if you want to get technical, and a little less derogatory) aren't the only ones discriminating. Look at the middle east, Palistine, Israel, Iraq...they even LOOK similar (compared to white man vs. black at least) and they still hate each other.

Religious prejudice is even WORSE. It's generally more violent and terrible than even just racism because people believe they have GOD ON THIER SIDE. Sunni vs. Shiate (I hope I spelled that right, forgive me if I didn't) or even closer to home? Catholics against Prodestants. And please lets not forget the HOLOCAUST. There was no reason for these innocent people to die other than for a scapegoat for a country's political economy that couldn't support itself. Worse even is that now that all the people who WERE THERE are old and dying off, people are trying to say it DIDN'T HAPPEN. I've met four prison camp survivors in my life and I feel very privledged that they came to my schools to talk to students. I've seen the number branding, IT HAPPENED. Don't pretend it didn't.

Which throws into view the must preposterous and rediculous sort of discrimination is when people pick sides over things like SPORTS. Violence over COMPETITION, friendly or not, is the worst kind of all. It's not even about god or the way you look, people are getting killed because of thier opinion. An opinion about something that's only played for a SEASON OF THE YEAR.

Calling someone a douche because they don't like the Lakers, or WORSE GOD HELP US, they DON'T LIKE BASKETBALL?!

Jesus who the hell do you think YOU are? Because I can guarentee you that person probably thinks you're dumb as a brick for being a sports fan.

So before you call someone out for the way they look, worship, or the jersey they're wearing? Shut your mouth and think twice about it. Because the person you're about to insult, probably doesn't think your team is cool either...and it's not really your business what they do. Just keep your opinions to yourselves.
